The NCI Agency hosted its first NATO Edge conference from 25 to 27 October 2022.
NATO Edge, "Technology in Focus," was held in-person at the Lotto Expo in Mons, Belgium.
This year's conference theme was "Technology in Focus." This event centred on the technology, and the collaboration and partnerships, needed to future proof the Alliance. Following on the heels of the NATO Summit in Madrid, NATO Edge featured discussions on the Agency's work on emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs), which included artificial intelligence (AI) and data.

Over the last 15 years, the NCI Agency has fostered two successful events – the NATO Information Assurance Symposium (NIAS) and the Agency's flagship industry conference, NITEC. This year, as we celebrate the Agency's 10th anniversary, we are introducing NATO Edge, which combines these two conferences to bring a new flagship technology event for business and political leaders.
Small Business Mentoring Programme
Our Mentoring Programme offers small businesses the opportunity to meet NCI Agency managers, National Technical Experts and representatives from larger businesses in one-on-one sessions at our major events. Those conversations cover a range of topics, including product development, marketing, seed financing, collaborating with partner companies and best practices when competing for NATO contracts.
More than 80 sessions have been conducted since the start of programme in 2016. High-level representatives from AT&T, BT, Cisco, GDIT, IBM, Leidos, Leonardo, Microsoft and Symantec have served as mentors, consulting small businesses operating in C4ISR, IT and cyber security.
