Senior NATO officials to address industry at NITEC Connect following Summit

Just days after the NATO Summit in Brussels, several NATO officials will join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) from 16 to 17 June for NITEC Connect, a free virtual event.

This year's edition of the Agency's flagship conference will focus on enhancing NATO's resilience through stronger partnerships with industry.

The conference includes keynote addresses from:

  • Mircea Geoană, NATO Deputy Secretary General

  • General André Lanata, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation

  • Lieutenant General William J Liquori, Jr, Deputy Chief of Space Operations, Strategy, Plans, Programs, Requirements, and Analysis, United States Space Force

  • Kay Sears, Vice President and General Manager, Military Space, Lockheed Martin Space

NCI Agency General Manager Kevin J Scheid will kick off NITEC Connect at 14:00 CEST on 16 June 2021.

A panel discussion on NATO 2030, and the value of public-private partnerships, will be held later that day. Ambassador Baiba Braže, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, will be a panelist. Antonio Calderon, Acting Chief Technology Officer at the NCI Agency, will moderate the discussion.

Additionally, Gordon B "Skip" Davis Jr, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defense Investment, will participate in a panel discussion on space and increasing NATO's readiness.

And as a part of NITEC Connect, the NCI Agency will also be hosting a Space Pitch Day on 17 June, in partnership with the NATO Space Centre located in Allied Air Command. Six top qualifying teams will pitch their proposals to improve space situational awareness at the event.

Registration will close on 14:00 CEST on 16 June 2021.
