"I am pleased to present to you the latest edition of the NITECH magazine. This is our sixth edition of our magazine, and my first as General Manager of the NCI Agency," NCI Agency General Manager Ludwig Decamps writes in his foreword. "We will discuss how we are working together to build an Alliance that is fit for the future, one that can adopt new practices and technologies at the speed of relevance."
The magazine includes contributions from key officials, such as NATO's Deputy Secretary General, Mircea Geoană, who discusses NATO 2030. Geoană notes that "technological innovations are vital to ensuring readiness, but are also at the centre of ongoing changes to the nature of peace, crisis and competition." The Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, writes about meeting tomorrow's challenges. NATO Assistant Secretary General for Executive Management, Giedrimas Jeglinskas and NATO Chief Information Officer, Manfred Boudreaux-Dehmer, also contribute with fascinating insights on fostering an adaptable, forward-looking workforce and transforming the NATO enterprise.
The magazine also features perspectives from NATO Nations, including an article by the German Minister of Defence, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, on the establishment of Germany's Space Command which will further strengthen NATO's position in this operational domain. Former Minister of Defence for Montenegro, Dr Milica Pejanović-Djurišić, contributed to this edition by discussing the importance of keeping pace with technological innovations.
