New General Manager takes helm of NCI Agency

NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) General Manager Kevin J Scheid handed over leadership to Ludwig Decamps on 30 June 2021, marking the end of Scheid's four-year tenure as General Manager.

Ludwig Decamps joined the Agency as Director Demand Management on 1 March 2017 and became full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 15 February 2018. As of 30 June, Decamps has stepped into the leadership role of General Manager of the NCI Agency, a 3,200 strong organization specialized in technology and cyber security.

The NCI Agency held a handover ceremony on 30 June 2021 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, to mark the occasion.

Exiting General Manager Kevin J Scheid said: "From Stavanger to Naples, from Naples to Izmir, from Kabul to Bydgoszcz and all points in between, I thank you, the workforce of NCIA, for your intellect, tenacity, technical prowess and personal sacrifices to NATO's mission: you have dedicated your lives and your careers to a cause bigger than yourselves. It is much more than a job… you arrive each morning to do no less than to help preserve world peace. You serve quietly, often alone, behind the scenes ensuring this great Alliance continues to be able to protect nearly 1 billion of our fellow citizens. Thank you for your service to NATO."

Incoming General Manager Ludwig Decamps said: "We have work to do. At the Summit, leaders have agreed to an ambitious agenda to strengthen NATO's resilience and sharpen its technological edge. The Agency is at the heart of many of those tasks, and we are ready to support."
