NCI Agency opens new campus in Braine l'Alleud


On 12 May 2023, the NATO Communications and Information (NCI) Agency inaugurated its newest campus in Braine l'Alleud, Belgium.

The symbolic opening of the building of the Agency's campus, took place with a ribbon-cut ceremony in the presence of the NCI Agency General Manager Ludwig Decamps, the Braine l'Alleud Mayor Vincent Scourneau, the NCI Agency Chief Technology Officer and Location Principal Antonio Calderon and Agency Supervisory Board (ASB) Chair Luis Astorga. Senior officers from the Agency, Host Nation representatives, national representatives from the ASB, as well as all Braine l'Alleud personnel attended the ceremony.

"This building symbolizes our commitment to creating a space where our employees can thrive and our excellence in delivery in meeting the needs of the Alliance," said Ludwig Decamps, NCI Agency General Manager during his opening remarks.

The new facility provides nearly 500 staff members with modern and fully equipped workspaces. "This facility is here for you, and I have every confidence in your enduring engagement to the missions of both the NCI Agency and the Alliance," assured the General Manager addressing staff members.

Further to the ceremony, national representatives from the Agency Supervisory Board received a guided tour around the facilities.

The NCI Agency's central elements are split between Brussels, Mons, Oeiras and The Hague. The new facilities in Braine l'Alleud constitute the 5th main location of the Agency. In addition, NCI Agency teams are distributed across a total of 29 locations around the Alliance to ensure optimal support service to NATO and the Nations.
