Resilience is critical to NATO's core tasks and essential to meet the challenges of an increasingly unpredictable security environment. The NCI Agency and ACT work closely to collect and analize data from dozens of sources to provide experts and decision makers with the necessary insights to understand challenges, vulnerabilities and limitations and make informed decisions.

"Data is critical to build resilience. By sharing information and collaborating on innovative data-driven solutions our technology and subject matter experts help NATO improve its situational awareness understanding and build a greater resilience against emerging threats," explained Calderon.

The NCI Agency's Chief Technology Office leads on the Agency's Innovation Portfolio and ensures that the NATO enterprise keeps abreast of Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) and enabling superior decision-making. Modern approaches based on commercial-best practice such as Cloud Computing, Zero-trust, AI, Machine learning or intelligence-at-the-edge computing will allow the Alliance to improve the level of resilience while enhancing NATO's capacity to prepare for, resist, respond to, and quickly recover from strategic shocks and disruptions.
