Meet the Agency staff awarded with NATO's highest honour

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is proud to announce that several of its military and civilian staff members have been awarded NATO's highest honour.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced recently that he would award several Agency staff members with the NATO Meritorious Service Medal.

The medal was first introduced in 2003 and is NATO's most prestigious honour, awarded to fewer than 50 NATO staff per year for their essential support to the Alliance.

This group of awardees made significant contributions to the Alliance in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic. They went beyond their line of duty, adjusted to new ways of working and used their outstanding leadership to implement innovative solutions for complicated issues.

In 2020, with the rise of the pandemic, we increased remote working and knowledge sharing, and our awardees from the NCI Agency were at the frontline of this change.
